I miss my car.
One fine afternoon I was run off the road by a truck that didn't see me occupying the lane that she was switching into. Here are a few shots.

What's weird is that just sitting in the ditch, the damage doesn't look bad at all.

Ooof... that had to hurt... oh wait. It did. Um, can you say "roll bar"? I knew you could... The angle is actually a bit worse than the photo indicates. You can pretty much climb through the interior of the car like a stepladder.

It's crying.

Not surprisingly, the worst of the damage was hidden where the nose hit ground. It's a little hard to see the full extent of the damage, since the sun is in the camera's eye. I wanted to move the car but the battery was dead; the car spent 24 hours trying to close the driver side headlight door.

That's a little better, though now you can't see the point of impact. A lot of it looks like just sheetmetal repair, but the fact that the top no longer latches properly has me concerned about the unibody being twisted out of shape.

Police and EMT said I was lucky to walk away. No matter what happens to the Miata I'm glad to be unhurt and I think I'll probably invest in a good roll bar.
